iPhone 4G

iPhone 4G Prototype is Both a Transformers Phone and a Piece of the Nokia N900 Ad

There was a pretty cool Nokia N900 ad that saw a person transforming into a handset and we showed you a Transformers Motorola phone a while back. However, this time, we’ve got an iPhone 4G prototype, created by Manuel Eder and once again keen on the whole transformation process.

Of course, you can forget about this being real, since the keyboard is way too sci-fi, the battery seems to lack totally and the “guts” of the next-gen iPhone would be totally moved around during the morphing process. It’s still a pretty cool idea and concept, specially with the way that the display sets up, but are we ever going to see this turned into a real device?

Next-gen iPhone Looks Like the iPad?

The folks of iphon.fr have recently created an iPhone concept following the design lines of the freshly launched Apple iPad. The result was a white handset, with an aluminum case and a plastic area at the top, meant to allow a better transmission of the network signal.

Also, one might notice the square-ish then curved design of the supposed iPhone 4G, but we have no clue right now to show that this device will ever be real. Let’s just hope that the camera at the back is at least a 5 megapixel unit and it also comes with flash, although this seems very unlikely, for now.

We’re in 2010, folks, the year of the Apple Tablet debut and the iPhone 4G release, so let’s face it: we’ve got to prepare for the next gen iPhone. We don’t yet know if Apple will change the handset’s design, but we wouldn’t mind if it would look something like this:

There’s also a pretty neat roundup of rumours concerning the new device made by Cupertino, all of them comprised in the following image (click to enlarge). Among those, it’s very likely that the iPhone 4G will sport an OLED display, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a front facing video camera and a dual core processor and more RAM.

It’s interesting to note that the launch of the product, supposed to take place between May and July is considered a 99% sure fact. Speculations regarding the next gen iPhone also mention the presence of a touch sensitive case (making the handset resemble the Magic Mouse), 64GB of NAND flash memory, portable DVR functionality and built-in RFID.

We all know that the Apple Tablet is coming, as well as the iPhone 4G, but all we’ve got right now are concepts of both devices. While the tablet is more likely to leak or be launched this month, the next gen iPhone is a long way from release, so we’re content with having a look at Guillaume Moshi Guyader’s concept design below:

We really wish that something would change with the future iPhone, since Apple’s design is starting to get old, specially if we have a look at what HTC and Motorola are making right now. Even a minor change would be welcome, like a new button, a bigger touchscreen, maybe 2 screens or a physical keyboard.

What would you add to the iPhone 4G concept?

Nothing much to say here, except for the fact that we recently received an email from Leroy Lippets, showing us his iPhone 4G concept pictured below. The designer claims that he doesn’t want to change the design of the phone, but just make it slimmer, slicker, more modern and include a 5 megapixel camera on board.

Leroy said he’s not that good with Photoshop… what do you think?

Designer Fabio Merzari has recently showed the world his iPhone concept, that allows the users to change its dimensions by either opening or closing it. Known as the RFR iPhone Next, this device is a next-gen handset that uses a transparent display.

The phone’s screen is made out of two OLED screens that include memory shape alloy, that’s able to roll within the case, once the handset is closed. If you touch the display, you’ll notice a multi-layer effect as the icons show up on the screen. Multi colored illumination will adjust to the lighting conditions, for easier access to the device’s features.

RFR iPhone Next’s body is finished in aluminum and we learn that the concept features an impressive amount of memory, 128GB and also includes a 5 megapixel Ichat camera.

It’s been a while since we last saw an iPhone concept, but novelty is welcome here, so we have a look at Jerome Brown’s fresh iPhone design. Dubbed the iPhone Slim, this device comes with a 5 megapixel camera, plus another camera upfront, speakers and a night light, allowing the handset to take pics during night time.

As the name claims, this really is a very slim device, incredibly thin actually, if you look at the image above. Will Apple be able to fit a 5 megapixel camera sensor into such a small package?

Since LG GD900 and its transparent keyboard, everyone has gone crazy, trying to replicate the original design. Of course, there’s also a transparent iPhone involved this time, the iPhone See-Thru concept, created by Brian Brenes S. as part of the iLounge design contest.

iPhone See Thru, Transparent Handset Concept

The iPhone concept uses a see-through photo sensitive glass body, that allows the user to take pictures using its transparency, scan surfaces, record video and magnify images and things you see. The phone’s transparency is adjustable, the device is very lightweight and we wonder how it can still host the complicated components of the iPhone in such a thin and fragile body.

DYI reaches the world of futuristic iPhones and we’ve just stumbled upon a concept, called the iPhone Transformer, that’s made up by connecting pieces. This is a modular device (just like modu), created by Alvin Chau and certainly a great idea for everyone looking for iPhone upgrades.

Among the pieces of this iPhone concept there’s also a header piece with earphone, a battery pack with memory and a SIM card slot, the base piece with the Home Button and microphone, plus the speakers and equalizer.

You can also add the camera piece with flash and the camera button, the multitouch touch pad, the iPod Click Wheel, the iSight chat camera, a dedicated keyboard and the iSight videocall camera. Enhancements and upgrades will be possible simply by connecting a new piece to your dated iPhone, in order to make it cool and new again!

iDrops iPhone Concept… Gave Us a Good Laugh

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I hope that designer Angelo Santiago won’t mind us laughing when we first saw this concept, but we couldn’t help it…I mean, come on, an iPhone concept that is fixed on the user’s pupil via iDrops?! “Liquid nano technology?!” At least it’s environmentally friendly… he claims.

iDrops iPhone Concept... Gave Us a Good Laugh

Bio-engineering is certainly not far from achievements like these, but this is ridiculous. How about an iBooger, an iSperm, iTampon? iThink that iT iSn’t a good iDea to iMiniaturize the iPhone so soon… specially if you cry and lose the handset in your tear flow.

iPhone Nano Cellphone Concept is so Small You Wouldn’t Know What to do With it

When do you know that your futuristic phone is too tiny? When you need a magnifying glass or even a microscope to find it… Case in point, the iPhone Nano concept below, created by Matthew Smith and coming with a free loupe if it ever goes available in stores.

iPhone Nano Cellphone Concept is so Small You Wouldnt Know What to do With it

Wouldn’t you say that this is a too tiny device to be called a phone? And this statement comes from a man who’s seen handsets embedded in teeth, implanted in brains and fitted on the user’s eye. Too small is not small enough?

iPhone Soft Features Flexible Electronics, Better User Interaction

Our daily iPhone concept has arrived and this time it’s a pretty interesting piece of technology, one that’ll surely hit mainstream some day. This futuristic iPhone relies on flexible electronics and comes with enhanced user interaction and tactile feedback, delivered through its soft surface.

So, we’ve got accelerometers, gesture control, control via movements in front of the camera, multi touch interaction, voice command and now control through the flexible parts of the handsets. What’s next?
